About CBC Foundation

CBC (Citizens for Better Community) Foundation is established by a group of Chinese American enthusiasts who seek to bring more awareness and recognition of the Chinese American culture to the community; develop a healthy and vibrant community by strengthening the partnerships between Chinese Americans and the diverse cultures of the Bay Area; inspire the Chinese American population to get more involved and contribute to the community-at-large mainly in the areas of education, health and business; support organizations and projects which promote understanding and appreciation of the Chinese American culture; and to sponsor events and programs which will encourage more Chinese Americans to be active and effective participants in the community.

CBC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) federal tax exempt organization located in Fremont, California.

  • Albert Wang, MD, President

    Dr. Albert Wang was born in Taiwan and came to the US at the age of 14. He graduated with honors from UC Berkeley with a BS in Biochemistry, and MD from UC San Diego, and currently serves as the Director and immediate past Chair of the Board of Directors for the 1600-doctor strong Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group.

  • Steve Cho, Board Member

    Born and raised in Los Angeles. Received a BA from Washington Univ (St Louis) and MS from USC (Computer Science). Moved to Bay Area in 1973 and worked for Pacific Telephone. Married to Amy in 1974 and moved to Fremont. Started a software service & development business. Relocated to Roseville, Ca in 2018. Currently live in a 55+ Senior Community (Sun City Del Webb).

  • Garrett Yee, Board Member

    For over 30 years, Garrett has served our country and our community and is currently a Major General in the United States Army Reserve serving in the Washington D.C. area. He has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

    Alsion Montessori Foundation in Fremont recognized him as the "2010 Montessori Community Honoree"
