Spring Celebration Beneficiaries

CBC is thrilled to announce that the Mental Health Association for Chinese Communities and the City of Fremont Human Services Department/Mobile Hygiene Unit - CleanStart will be the two beneficiaries for this year's Gala.

Mental Health Association for Chinese Communities is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness of mental health within the Chinese community through advocacy, education, research, support and services to represent the wide spectrum of Chinese families and individuals affected by mental illness, and to help them develop meaningful and productive lives in the future.

For someone experiencing homelessness, keeping yourself and your clothes clean can be incredibly challenging, and can greatly impact your ability to get and keep a job, or simply participate in society. To meet this need, the City of Fremont, City of Newark, and several community partners developed the CleanStart Mobile Hygiene Program to provide much-needed shower and laundry services to our homeless neighbors.
